If you follow me on Instagram then you've seen my recent post regarding my night stand. I got a lot of questions on my post about what specific items I keep in my night stand, so I decided to share here rather than try to respond to each question individually.
A nightstand can say a lot about a person. It comes in many shaps and sizes; some (like mine) have drawers. That is essential for me to hide all the clutter.
It's a single arena where I like to keep everything I need in an arms reach. Once I put on my pjs and call it a night, I don't want to get up again and it's also a good reminder for me to stay on track with my nightly beauty routine.
Whatever is on it should be personal and intimate, but also completely indispensable. The books, lamps, and pillow mists should serve a function, but also give you deep joy.
So, beautiful dreamers, —what do you keep by your bed? I'll show you mine if you show me yours...
1. Essential Oil Diffuser
The most important sleep-related item on my night table is my diffuser . I use essential oils to help me fall asleep at night. I love this Best Blends set of 6. This set was a great value and I think the different blends included cover the most basic needs for aromatherapy as well as topical use. None of the blends were overpowering and each one was great for it's labeled use!
2. Coffee Table Books
I love these gorgeous books mostly for aesthetic reasons. Chanel Beautiful set of 3. Hard cover with 3 slender books inside. Perfect for picture opts! Kate Spade: All In Good Taste Hardcover Super classy and New York through and through. Love the positive tone and super entertaining to read.
3. Water Bottle
I always wake up incredibly thirsty in the middle of the night, thanks to my lack of control over our heat. Since I lack the coordination to properly pour a glass of water from a carafe without spilling all over my sheets at 2 a.m., I stash a bottle next to my bed. It used to be a Nalgene, but I’ve since upgraded to a Corkcicle canteen. The stainless-steel bottle is amazing at keeping cold drinks cold and hot beverages hot. I prefer the matte black, mainly because I don’t like any color in my apartment, but it comes in 12 other shades including glossy pink, copper, and turquoise. It’s easy enough to unscrew that I’ve never had an accident, and I’ll never wake up with a dry, sore throat again.
$35 at amazon.com
4. Peonies
I mean what girl doesn't love peonies? But they are so short-lived in the natural season so I have a faux peony to keep blooming all year long ;)

What's In the Drawer
5. The Roku 4
Well the Roku doesn't actually go in my drawers but the remote does. It's essential to my Netflix (Hulu, Amazon Prime, HBO Now) and Chill nights. The best part about this is the search function.. You can speak into the remote instead of having to spell out each letter on the tv.
